Depends on your household's hot water use, gas line capacity, and budget. We quote both when replacement makes sense and explain the tradeoffs plainly.
Do I need a permit to replace my water heater?
Yes — California requires one. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
How long does a replacement take?
A like-for-like tank swap usually takes 2–4 hours. Tankless conversions take longer because of venting and gas line changes — we'll tell you upfront.
How long do water heaters last?
Tanks typically last 10–12 years; tankless units 15–20 with maintenance. Past that, repairs stop being worth it.
Do you handle emergencies?
Yes, 24/7. If the tank is leaking, shut off the cold inlet valve on top of the unit and call us.
